Obituary

Waldo Julius 'Jay' Hunter, Jr., age 87, of Clinton, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Jefferson Gardens, Clinton.

Jay was born June 2, 1930 to Waldo Julius Hunter, Sr. and Elizabeth Lucile ‘Moore’ Hunter of Leeton, MO.  After graduating from high school, Jay eventually went to work for the United States Post Office.  He married Patricia ‘Patty’ Jane Stanley on November 28, 1953 in Brownington, MO.  Jay was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Scott S. Hunter (Kathi) of Independence, MO and David M. Hunter of Clinton.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Patty; and an infant sibling.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Consalus Funeral Home, Clinton.  A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the United Methodist Church, followed by interment at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the United Methodist Church and left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd St., Clinton, MO 64735.
